She’s just moved to an estate with her mum who works a lot, so she stays with her neighbour who helps her to learn how to use her secret talent. There’s some sort of bad/violent guys (robbers?) and she ends up killing one of them I think. I read this last year. Quite a dark book. Any help appreciated! I wouldn’t classify it as sci-fi

I believe it was set in England, mainly based on the housing estate they live in. Present time. The girl is about 12, 13. There’s no romance. Could have been YA. One of the bad guys I think was learning disabled, they could have been brothers. The other one was a pretty nasty piece of work. The neighbour was an older woman. Thanks for the tips
