GENRE: Mystery, Adult - Series, takes place in New York, not NYC, at a hotel. Late 20s woman inherits a crumbling family home (maybe victorian style) from mother, her wayward sister inherits money (and maybe steals sisters boyfriend?). Main character formerly worked in NYC, now works in a local hotel as deputy general manager (maybe), has close relationship with the older gentleman who owns the hotel (not romantic). Has tenants in her home, a gay (male) couple that owns a wine shop in town.
Several books in the series, murders/crimes ensue at the hotel.
Probably read these books somewhere between 2006-2010?

Maybe the Manor House Mystery Series by Julie Hyzy?
Book 1 is Grace Under Pressure. It was published in 2010.

Found searching mystery novel "series" "new york" "hotel" "wine shop" "her sister". From the reviews it sounds just like your book!
