Cole looked at the board. He had made it. Rank 10 of the Erudite born initiates. He was very pleased. He was high in the ranks, and did not have any pressure on him to be the best. He was okay with learning, but he did not like pressure.


Isolde paled when they explained everything. Dauntless born would fight dauntless borns on one side, transfers would fight transfers on the other. You were to stay up in the ranks. Or else you'd be kicked out of Dauntless. She almost whimpered. She had to be strong. And not show weakness.
