Cole smiled and helped his sister with a book she was trying to understand.



Isolde helped the Amity girl up. They talked and she smiled. She gathered up as the leader talked. She pulled her hair out of its tight bun as the leader talked. She was a little surprised that they had to jump off a train and a building. But at the same time she assumed it was expected. This was Dauntless after all

Adrianna helped her mother and then started to read after a while.

Xander stood with the regular dauntless and jumped off the building to the bottom after an initiate.

Isolde jumped last, making sure the Amity girl jumped before her. She was pulled from the net, and stood with all the initiates


Cole grinned and then sighed, all the initiates were to come to the library

Xander watched as the rest jumped standing with his friends leaving with them to their places while Initiates went to the tour.

Adrianna remembered about the initiates and wasn't so happy they were coming to the library.

Cole was disappointed. He'd wanted to take his sister to the library. But all the initiates were so loud it'd be impossible for her to focus.



Isolde looked around in wonder at the Dauntless base. It was amazing. She looked at the black clothes placed in her hands with fascination. She changed pulling on the black clothing. And then threw her grey clothes into the fire. The rest of the day was a blur until dinner.

Adrianna rested reading her book and talking to her dad both getting in a debate again.

Xander went with the guys talking to them and getting ready for dinner going and sitting down really happy.

Cole brought his sister down to the library finally, and brought out many books for her. He wanted her to know a lot. She was a beautiful girl, even for 10. But he wanted her to be beautiful and smart. To soak up as much as possible before her choosing day.


Isolde looked around the huge dining hall, not sure where she should sit. Even if she was technically Dauntless, until she completed initiation, she would always be a Stiff in their eyes.

Adrianna continued to read as much as she could soaking up as much knowledge as possible. It was the best thing to do especially when your faction wants it from you.

Xander was talking to the initiates and his friends their table had a spot open next to him.

Isolde noticed the open spot. She had figured he was her safest bet. He had been really nice to her. She moved over and sat next to him. She looked at the food that was on the table. She looked at it not sure what to make of it. She didn't touch anything, looking at it like it was alien. Her green eyes narrowed in confusion.


Cole stayed with his sister for hours. He left her there still studying, running into someone.

((Hey! I'm home from school.))

((Just got home too.))

Xander smiled when she sat next to him. He helped her and made the hamburger so it looked like a sandwich. "Here you go." He set it on her plate after making it with forks and spoons.

Adrianna was trying to find a book seeing Cole.

Cole waved at her.


Isolde looked at it then at him. " how do I eat it? Is it even food?" She asked examining it. It was a piece of meat between bread. It had some red stuff that looked suspiciously like blood on it.

Adrianna waved back.

"Have you eaten a sandwich before?" He asked her curiously. "It's meat, bread, and lettuce with ketchup tomatoes."

He thought for a moment before coming over.



She looked up at him " I know what a sandwich is. I'm not an idiot. I've just never seen anything like this. The sandwiches I eat are mostly chicken and bread. Not much... Whatever that is."

[Janelle]

Adrianna noticed him coming over she got the book she needed glad she finally found it.

"This is a sandwich just with beef, and bread, and tomatoes." He explained to her. He understood why she was confused abnegation always was.

Cole came over a small smile " hey Adrianna."


Isolde nodded a bit before picking it up. She bit into it carefully. She was surprised by the taste, her eyes widening as her tongue tasted something like she's never tasted before.

"Hey Cole." She said to him turning to him smiling gently.

He started eating really so used to the dauntless food it was so nice. He noticed her expression he didn't say anything about it to make fun of her.

"What's up?" He asked a smile on his face, books tucked in his arms.



She was silent for a moment before looking over at him, smiling " I don't think I ever properly introduced myself. I'm Isolde Eira." She held out her hand.

[Janelle]

"Nothing much just been looking for some books to read." She admitted seeing the books he had. She also saw him come in with his little sister.



"I'm Xander Thompson." He said to her holding his hand out to shake hers.

He grinned " anything good? I always enjoy a great book. "


She shook his hand " nice to meet you." She said with a polite smile. She pulled her hand away after a moment. And returned to her food.

[Janelle]

"I'm not sure I haven't had any good reads yet." She admitted thinking about it. She has been mostly reading all medical books for career.

[Janelle]

He pulled his hand away after shaking hers to eat.

Cole grinned " maybe you'll find it soon!" He said as his sister came running up

" Cole!!!" She whined pulling on his shirt.


Isolde ate quietly. After dinner she stood, waving goodbye to Xander.

"I hope so." She said to him she saw Cole's sister and smiled at her gently. "I better go." She had to get home and read she wanted too read here but initiates were so loud.

He ate dinner talking to his friends quietly watching her leave he waved back at her and finished up going with his friends.

She made her way back to the initiates dorm. She sat on her new bed. She put her face in her hands, trying to figure out how she was going to survive here if she didn't even know what a hamburger was.


Cole smiled and brought his sister home. He might seem cold to some, but he loved his sister more than anything

((Sorry fell asleep it's been a long day.))

Xander sat down thinking about how the initiates would do. He was actually excited he could stay with his family and still meet knew people and hopefully find someone to love.

Adrianna went home after getting her books and going home she sat down and started to read.

Isolde laid on the bed, staring at the cieling. It'd be a long day tomorrow. Training, the initiation. She closed her eyes sighing. She could make it through this. Just had to hide the fact she is Divergent. If only she knew more about it. She wish she'd chosen Erudite in that moment, to be able to research what the hell Divergent meant.


Cole took his sister home, ready to study for the Erudite examinations.

Xander went to his family after a long day greeting them. He didn't stay long before he went to the Dauntless born rooms. He sat down wondering if it's true if there were any divergents around at all?

Adrianna got home and started studying for Euridite Examinations. She was really worried that she can't pass them but she has been working so hard for so long and was confident. ((Sorry I'm slow and I'm not sure how this plot is going.))

(( it's fine. And how would you like it to go. I'm thinking that the girls are going through the dilemma of struggling to figure out their divergence. And the guys find out somehow... And try to help them.))

Isolde slowly drifted to sleep, the thoughts not drifting from her head, and affecting her dreams.


Cole read through one of his books. It had a chapter on something called 'Divergence' it didn't say much about them. Just that they were dangerous, and threatened the peace.

Xander slept thinking about training it was going to be nice.

Adrianna found a chapter about 'Divergence' Her heart stopped a bit when she read it. She wasn't afraid of what could happen though. She was going to hide what she was. She kept reading as much as she could ready for the Erudite exams.

Cole finally closed his book. He yawned, thinking about the divergence chapter. What was it so dangerous?


Isolde woke up the next morning, tired and worried. She was from abnegation. She had no clue how to fight. She wasn't strong. She ran her fingers through her hair nervously

Adrianna continued reading falling asleep as she did thinking about Divergents. Other ones around she hoped that they were alright. She woke in the morning with her books all over her. She got up and got ready for exams dressing up.

Xander woke the next morning and got ready going with everyone.

Cole was up early, dressing up in the blue clothes of Erudite.


Isolde walked into the training room, a tired look on her face.

Adrianna finished dressing in her clothes for the Exams. She put her hair up straight into a tight bun. Before eating a healthy breakfast. She left nervous but ready.

Xander looked up with the other dauntless born. He smiled at her with confidence to boost hers.

Isolde have him a nervous smile. They were training with the Dauntless born today. Which made her all the more nervous. She could tell people were giving her mean looks. It's nothing she wasn't used to.


Cole walked into the examination room, smiling at Adrianna softly.

Xander got up and went over to her no one really cared. "Don't worry you will do great." He said to her thinking it was true.

Adrianna looked up at him and smiled back before turning her attention to the hosts of the exams.

Isolde shook her head softly " I won't." She whispered quietly, downing her head


Cole sat down for the test, confident in his smarts

"Don't say that you will." He said to her.

Adrianna sat down ready and prepared determined to get this test done.

Cole started his test quietly


Isolde shook her head " how can you be so confident?! I've never been in a fight, I'm not strong. Half these people are bigger than me!" She said

[Janelle]

Adrianna started the test with confidence.

"Because their are so many abnegation around here as trainers." He whispered to calm her down.

She sighed " I don't get how your so confident in me. We just met yesterday"


Cole finished his test within the hour

[Janelle]

"Because you seem like the person with determination that deserves to stay in Dauntless." He answered her.

Adrianna finished within the hour as well setting her pencil down letting the test be collected.
