Choices made by the main character the woman.

I read this a while back and I found it an interesting premise and it started off well enough but I had some reservations about the characters, particularly the choices made by the main character the woman. I feel like she already had misgivings about her fiance so why did she marry him plus when they got to the island she always made the dangerous choice. Did anybody else find that odd?

It was odd. Halfway through I started to understand that she really loved her husband. Link blindly in love with him, like "unconditionally", she wanted to be a good wife, a better wife. Everything she was doing she thought she was doing for him, she thought she was being a team player, and overtime she started to like the thrill of what she was doing as well. It's dangerous to love somebody else vulnerably and unconditionally, because you don't realize when you're in over your head until it's too late. But yes, I thought it was odd. In the beginning I found myself saying "Wtf are you doing lady?" She was naive the whole time, I didn't trust the husband at all actually. I guess she put every ounce of love and trust in him because she didn't really have anybody else, and she was distant from her family.

Barbara LeMere Good points Tre. I had a hard time with this one I thought she was nieve also but then I just thought she was reckless.
