ABANDONED. Fantasy series with female lead whose hands glow when she is powered up from the moon or sun

Trying to remember the name of a fantasy series I read 3-4years ago. It features a girl who I think has a mark on her hand that makes her a kind of chosen one to save the kingdom. She initially can suck power from the moon, but can soon suck power from the sun (her hands glow when she's charged up) as well as getting more power. She ages really quickly when she uses her power to do something big. I seem to remember her brother being along for the ride and he became quite powerful after his sis made him a magic staff....I think there were 5 or 6 books in the series but cannot for the life of me remember the book or the author. Any help greatly appreciated

Jimbo--how "X" rated was your book? If it was mildly pornographic (sex scenes with multiple partners) Might I suggest that you try Mona Lisa Awakening It's the first book in a series. Sunny is the name the author writes under.

Thanks - I'd say it was for adults (because it was a bit gory) but not pornographic. In each of the books she learns a new power.... I can't remember the covers very well but seem to remember flames being on one of them (not very helpful I'm sure).

time period was a medieval setting but in a fantasy world...not "earth".

the banned and the banished seores by James Clemens. also called the wit*ch series.
Elana discovers she is a descendant of an ancient witch wjen her one hand turns red. this hand gets charged in sun, later her other is charged bybthe moon and togeyher they make ghost fire. Her brother is kidnapped early on in the seroes and becomes warped by the Dark One, eventually making a staff that focuses his power.
