I wonder which houses they came from? Does anyone know?
I definitely think Umbridge was in Slytherin. I think Lockhart was maybe in Hufflepuff.
I don't think Lockhart was from Hufflepuff, he's too selfish and dishonest. But then again i can't think of where else he could have been from. Anyway, if i could delete a character i think it would have to be--don't yell at me--Wormtail. I know he was essential to the plot but i just think it was so awful how he betrayed all his friends like he did, and i still don't fully understand why.
yes. mclaggen was not very courageous if you know what i mean, and romilda vane was just kind of disgusting.i know that we can't really 'delete' people because the horrible characters make the story its amazing self as well. it just goes to show what a great writer jo is, that she can make her villians so real that we hate them, even if they don't exist!

I think I would delete Professor Grubbly-Plank. I hate how everyone including a little bit of Hermione liked her. Hagrid is way better than her.
But then who would be there when Hagrid isn't?

Its just annoying that no matter which character you want to delete, they serve such an important part in the plot that the book would be terrible without them!

YES he does, and yes, his cluelessness makes him just adorable. I mean, even if I didn't like ron (don't be mistaken - I love him!) I wouldn't want to delete him - he's part of the trio, and therefore essential. Without Ron, we wouldn't meet any of weasleys or go the burrow and that would make the order so weird and harry would never have a mother figure (mrs. weasley) or a bunch of "brothers" and he would never meet ginny and he would only have hermione as a friend, and personally, I don't think he'd be too happy about that. And ron, he wouldn't meet hermione cause I don't think they'd ever have gotten together if it wasn't for harry and ... the list goes on and on.

I wouldn't delete anything. It was just perfect. I would, however, like some certain things cleared up, like particulars about quirrell's body sharing, ginny's possession, the diary horcrux, and horcruxes in general. But of course I wouldn't take any of that stuff away!
yes the whole quirrel thing was confusing. was he a horcrux? cuz it seemed like it but he wasn't...
I don't believe Quirrel was a Horcrux. Wasn't LV just using him to try and survive...and get into Hogwarts for the stone?I don't know if I'd delete any of the characters. That's a tough one. Hmm.....OH! Cho. I really really dislike Cho.....and Fleur. They both got on my nerves.
I don't like either of them either, but I think cho was important cause harry had to have at least one thing he failed at, right?? and fleur is fun to make fun to make fun of.
yeah. plus, in the end fleur turned out to be not as dumb-blond as we thought...

Yeah, Cho gets on my nerves. I don't get what Harry sees in her. I much prefer his choice of Ginny, she at least isn't a wimp.
I don't really like Cho either. She's just... I dunno. Not really a like-able person. How Harry noticed her over Ginny... Anyway, she's probably not my least favorite person that I'd want out of the book. It's hard to pick who I'd want to be kicked out because they all play some sort of role, but since I have to choose, I'd pick Rita Skeeter (did I spell that right?).
i didnt like a lot of the characters, but i dont think i would be able to take out a character...
i know. we can't really delete any characters from the story, since they all seem to play a critical role, but i would delete marietta as well if i could. i honestly don't see what harry saw in cho, either...
I'd delete Aunt Marge and Wormtail He go on my nerves in the movies but not in the books
I would delete Cho because the story wouldn't change that much if she wasn't in it

Cho is rather unlikable, but unfortunately necessary. I would delete Marietta. She totally deserved what she got. And McLaggen (however that's actually spelled), and Zacharias Smith. They didn't serve much of a purpose and they're arrogant jerks. I think Scorpius should be deleted out of mercy (poor kid, with a name like that...)
