To you, perceptive reader, I bequeath my history…

Late one night, exploring her father’s library, a young woman finds an ancient book and a cache of yellowing letters addressed ominously to ‘My dear and unfortunate successor’. Her discovery plunges her into a world she never dreamed of – a labyrinth where the secrets of her father’s past and her mother’s mysterious fate connect to an evil hidden in the depths of history.

The book description above is not adequate. I really enjoyed this book. It is a perfect creepy October book and companion book to Dracula, since the plot involves the Dracula story. I read this book a few years ago while my husband was away, and it really creeped me out at night all alone!

Tammie Ward | 8 comments I read this book years ago when it first came out and really enjoyed it. Will be good to contrast it with Dracula which I have started reading.

I'm so glad it creeped you out because I need a good, creepy novel to shake off this emotional flatline that has infected me. I've just started reading.
