I'm going to speak for the author here and state that this book is the second of the series .The first book is
, so you might want to check that out before reading this one.
is this book readable as a stand alone or does it have to be read through by the series?
April the author told me it is not necessary to read book one to read book 2.

, so you might want to check that out ..."You are correct, Daniel. It's probably best to read Fugitives first. I think the reader will get more out of Rebellion that way. The characters continue on in the adventure.
However, Tana is right too. I told her it was okay to start at book two. There's probably enough backstory in there to keep the reader from being too confused.
I hope that makes sense.

Book Description:
