Anyone know whatever happened to the author Jeff Long who wrote the book The Descent (and other great books)is he writing under a different name now?

I wish I knew the answer, Lynn. I LOVED The Descent and the sequel and don't think Long ever found the success he deserved. If he's publishing under a different name, I'd love to know it as well.

I have read six of his novels and enjoyed them all, I was reading his bio and he is a mountain climber and I hope nothing bad happened to him or anything.there is another site that I go to and I'm going to see if I get any more replies about him.... I will post back if I find out anything more :-)

The Descent is one of my favorites, too. I checked Mr. Long's info out on Wikipedia, then tried to link to his website from there, and it said the account is suspended. I didn't go any further with it, though. Are any of his other books as good?

Deeper, the sequel to The Descent was quite good, but I wasn't crazy about Year Zero. And my husband hated The Wall so I didn't even give that one a try.
