need help getting books to show up on homepage

I can open and read books without a problem, and they'll show up in my recent list when I press that icon in the bottom right corner, but I cannot get them to show up on the homepage so I can put them on the tabletop if I want. It only happens with non B&N books. I used to be able to open a book and it would show up on the homepage in that turntable, recently they stopped doing that.

How do I get the books to start showing up in the homepage again. If I'm reading a series, I like to put the books in order on the tabletop so I know what to read next.

Missyb, you will have to put them on the desktop manually by pressing on the book allowing a popup menu to show up. Then you can choose to put it on the tabletop. Sideloaded items from other sources other than B&N will not do so automatically and they never have, in my experience.

Once I opened a book it would show up in the homepage turntable thing, but recently they stopped showing up there unless it was a B&N book.

I do see a pop up menu letting me add it to "home". Thanks for the info.
