Daffodil I read this about a year ago, but am interested to find out how you feel about the book as you go through it

Daffodil Henrietta is definitely an interesting character--sort of contradictory in her traditional beliefs, like you mentioned, but is inherently progressive due to her status as a professional writer rather than the mother/homemaker role adopted by many of her peers.

Henrietta was a hoot to me. I did theatre for a while, and if there was a play of TPoaL I could audition for, I would leap in and audition for her all the way.
