One thing I hate about pinterest (and tumblr) is when awesome pictures lack sources. Thank goodness for reverse image search.

So that's what I am doing. I am currently trying to reach out and connect with the fans and writers of the genre, no more but's and I'll do it later's as now is the time to get something rolling. I'm going to list a few things I plan on doing as I think of them and I'll share them right here with you all because after all we are a group and we are all in this together so let's help one another.
Things I plan on doing to try to connect more with the Weird West genre:
-Use hashtags of anything Weird Western Related:
I'm sure you realize I'm big on using Twitter and hey it's worked for me so I figure starting small means trying to find people on there.
-Check out Weird West Books on Amazon Reach Out to reviewers or even authors:
It's perfectly fine to reach out to Top reviewers within your genre who have read books of your genre and kindly ask them if they are interested in reading and reviewing your book. That's the idea behind this one.
-Be More Active on This Group:
Again you can tell I'm trying and I realize we all have other priorities but I think if we find a little time to come on GR then we can remember to come on here and just let people know how it's all going it'll help the balance.
-Find Niche for Audience: I can tell you who my book appeals to but where they are I've never been able to..until now. People are on social media, their in groups and their in small spots that tend to go unnoticed. The idea is to appeal to them so not only can you finally know who your audience is but you can finally reach them too.

I went ahead and added the books to the group bookshelf; I hope that was all right (if not, I apologize, let me know what the rules are and I'll follow them). I also have book trailers that might be suited to your videos section; let me know if that's something you would want me to put up.
Oddly enough, I just started a re-read of the Dark Tower series too; happy to chat with anyone about it! And I'd love to hear recommendations. And I review books, FYI, and want to get word out about the genre, so chat with me about that if you want to.
*tips her hat*
Things are mostly quiet due to a lack of genre specific releases as of late. Unfortunately, as it stands now, the weird western is still too niche to get proper, regular topics going. Most of the regulars have been us authors.
But welcome aboard.

Anyway, here is the link.
Ghosts Of Pinkerton: Vampire And The Frenchman.
The blurb,
Jasper Longley was a broken man before Allan Pinkerton pulled him off the train tracks and gave him a purpose; revenge.
The wild west in the 1880’s was a time of revolution, progress, lawlessness, and … monsters. While average Pinkerton agents were tasked with tracking bandits and keeping order, agents Jasper Longley and Cole Owens fought to keep the world from plunging into chaos. Their mission was to keep tabs on the supernatural beings wreaking havoc on the citizens of the western frontier. After a routine vampire hunt, Jasper and Cole discover a peculiar relic that sets them on a grueling quest to stop a mysterious force; The Chaos Demon. Few people that have encountered this demon live to tell the tale. Jasper is one of the few and he is hellbent on ending this demon’s reign of terror.
Right now I just have it on Kindle and paperback. Planning on getting it ready for Smashwords here soon.
It's not as gritty or as dark as many other weird westerns are. I am a fan of the shows Supernatural and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, so the tone is somewhat in that vein.
Let me know what you think if any of you decide to read it. I am open for any feedback and criticism I can get. If you have any questions of me, feel free to ask.

It is definitely very loose in the historical dept. I wasn't real strict when it came to following history and kept more to the fantasy/horror side.
thank you again. I am currently reading through old comments looking for reading ideas. there seems to be a lot I didn't know existed.

Sounds good!
So I'm involved in a book bundle project with another work so that all the authors involved can help promote it. Would anyone here be interested in joining something like that with a Weird West theme? Your contribution could be either an original or something you've already published, and then everyone works together to build and promote the book and splits the proceeds. The idea being more to raise sales ranks and get attention than anything else. I would be happy to spearhead such a project.
