Nothing Gained

I've published 2 very distinctly different genres one sci-fi fantasy Flawed Gods Series - those that like it want more - but very little conversation except wow (and probably many who don't like it didn't tell me lol).
The other genre romantic psyche thriller Nothing Gained - a far simpler tale were some readers are so enthused by the characters and particularly the ending that I am shocked it could arose such fervour. Also such disagreement about which book was best. I did get an interesting observation from one who hadn't read either as to why but knew well some that had. One wasn't real so no arguments, what is written is written and can't be changed it's imaginary - but if it feels real then it is like the news and people have an opinion. Any one else have very fervent discussions about their books or not for that matter?
