We very briefly met Elide in flashback form from HoF, she was basically just hiding behind her mom's legs but she was (if I remember correctly) sickly with black hair.

Oh I remember now! she is still alive though so it's possible Aelin will seek her out at some point! I definitely need to reread CoM and HoF before QoS releases. I just read ToG in June so my memory is slightly spotty lol. xD

I think the concern was that the person who reviewed it was a bit sketchy, not sure how... Something about her credentials. Who knows! 21 days until so it doesn't really matter.

The review was real, guys. There are bloggers on twitter who read the book and confirmed it. Fans think it isn't because it's just surreal writing for most of us, so some are in denial.

Perhaps the biggest (and somehow best) disappointment is that the ship of Chaol and Celaena is pretty much sunk from the moment Aelin and Chaol meet each other again. He's an outright dick to her for much of the novel, and it becomes rapidly clear that while Chaol did love Celaena, he could never love Aelin. And, anyway, Aelin was no longer his to love.

Because, yes, my fellow Rowaelin shippers, Rowan and Aelin turn their deep friendship into a steamy romance in this book. It helped very much to heal the wound that would have been Chaol and Aelin's break up, because, after last book, I wanted her to want Rowan so, so badly. Chaol who? This book also hopefully teases another pairing I am fully ready to get behind: Dorian and Manon. Please, please, please, and you'll understand why when you read. (hide spoiler)]

I agree. It's one thing to hate the ship but when they start hating on Sarah and her writing that's just not right. There is more to the story than just the romance.

First, I have a question....
What was the reazon why you love Aelin/Celaena story? Am sorry, but I think that is because is a good war story... While, perhaps, many of you decided your ship, I was absolutley happy cause for the first time, the female character had more important things than all the romantic bussiness... Then, when the relationship with Chaol started developing I was... Fine, but still I enjoyed more the development of the story, the wyrd Keys, the king, etc. Then in HoF I was really surprised with the emotional development of Aelin. It was great, and yeah, I was pleased with Rowan's appearence. He is a logical character, I like it. Amd yeah, I do have a ship but no matter what happens, before Dorian, Sam, Chaol and Rowan I will always be in love with Aelin. So let's don't be inmature... In spite of the ship, this is an awsome serie... So is absurd not to read the book just because the ship doesn't happen.

No question there! I love Aelin as a character and I relate to her in such an indescribable way. Don't think you're alone in loving the story just to read about Aelin and how she will SLAY as Queen in the coming books! xD

I agree! After she first met Rowan I could already tell he was going to be one of those characters that was cold at first but then turns into a great character that actually has a big heart :D I don't know why people hate Rowaelin so much they have such a beautiful relationship! Rowan understands Aelin like no one else does.

There is a point in defending chaolena if chaol accepts celaena and loves her for who she is but he does not accept her real self. He does not like that other side of her at all. On the other hand Rowan accepts celaena and is there to support her. So will u be with someone who does not accept some part of u or will u be with the one who loves u and accepts u wholeheartedly? I don't know why some people can't understand this! If u think practically celaena should be with rowan only!
