Arian Q | 4 comments I am reading the book The Batboy by Mike Lupica. I am on page 200. The main character is Brian Dudley, a teenage boy who has passion for baseball, writes a letter to Detroit Tigers signing up for a batboy job. Detroit Tigers accept him and others tell him he has the neatest job on the team. Brian's dad is a coach for baseball and he is in Japan, the problem is that Brian does not get to see him a lot.

Brian has been wanting that job in baseball for a couple years now and he is proud of accomplishing what he had wanted. He believes that he will do very bad and not make a good batboy position in baseball but he is worth on trusting his dads phrases. In fact, his fellow students around him tell Brian that he will do great. However, when Brian starts playing as the batboy in the field, he is starting to get the hang of it and he is proud of what he has done. He starts to believe in his fathers phrases. Therefore, the most important thing to do in life is to believe in yourself no matter what.
