Aj Latu I think this book is a great way to teach young children about emotions through colors. I thought the illustrator did a great job with using these colors for the different types of feelings they were having. Steve Johnson and Lou Fancher who illustrated the text and their vivid and expressive paintings depict such striking images as a bright red horse kicking its heels, a cool and quiet green fish, a sad and lonely purple dinosaur, and an angrily howling black wolf. Using a spectrum of vibrant colors and a menagerie of animals, this unique book expresses the range of human moods and emotions, especially the intense emotions of childhood. This picture book is a very colorful book which has many colors which will catch the readers attention. It would be good for kids to see what colors can match their emotion and learn the many different types of colors expression.I feel that the language could be a little bit more challenging, but for Kindergartners who are focusing on abstract concepts in class, this book is great.
