I kinda think there's something going on with 'Throne', 'Crown' and 'Heir' (done specifically in that order) and so I'm thinking that either book four or a later novel in the series will begin with 'Queen'. Maybe even 'Queen of Glass', like the original story on FictionPress!
I definitely think that the final book in the series is going to be Queen something. Not just because of the original story, but it would show just how far Celaena has come. So far she's accepted her heritage and wants to reclaim her kingdom. Now she's got to deliver.

Was Crown of Midnight called as such because Nehemia was...you know...at midnight? If I'm correct in remembering! Because I can't think of any other reason behind the title, unless it's to do with the clock tower.

I think that might be it, as when Celaena's running for Nehemia's chambers, it said, 'A clock began sounding somewhere in the capital, and a lifetime passed between each booming bell." And it'd make perfect sense for the book title to echo Nehemia's fate, as it affected Celaena so deeply and finally pushed her to act!

I can't remember whether I thought of it or saw it on here, but I really like 'Sword of Darkness'! I think that would be fitting considering Dorian's position now, and the vengeance Celaena will take out on Arobynn and almost certainly take out on the king...God, can it just be tomorrow already! D:

OMF the title. I like it but I don't really like the queen part because I don't think Aelin reached that stage yet (I was also hoping the title will be about dorian) it's still a sbeylsheisksheldnwjldjekrj title though
I'm thinking shadows refer to her people, like Terrasen citizens still hide under the shadow of Adarlan... And did you see Sarah Maas's pins about people in cloak and tagged "ToG4"? Perfectly describe shadows. Just my thoughts though :)
OMG THE TITLE IS SO BEAUTIFUL! I was thinking that perhaps Celaena/Aelin will finally return to Terrasen - where she is rightfully queen - and, by now, it is a land of dust and ash and shadows. Or, perhaps the 'shadows' in the title could represent the shadow of Aelin's family around her in spirit, as I believe there is a quote in Heir of Fire about Aelin feeling her mother 'smiling down at her from realms away', or something along those lines. Anyway, I AM SO EXCITED!

I can't wait for it, too! It will undoubtedly be heartbreaking, but beautiful to see her return. I think Celaena/Aelin will be the spark that ignites the survivors' will to fight, and they will naturally look toward her as their queen! 222 days, and we will find out! XD

The title Queen of Shadows seems perfect! The cover I am sure will be just as perfect. Sarah J. Maas has wonderful book titles, and book covers that draw you in. I wonder how long we have to wait for the cover? I also think that there will be more of the young witch from Heir of Fire. Sorry I forgot her name.
