Both Nate and Taya suffered incredibly in Afghanistan and it could be argued that hers was greater. Why do you think she found a way to overcome her experience and Nate didn’t?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments Nate lost his best friend. That's really tough. He chose not to own up to his PTSD and it just got progressively worse. When Taya enters the picture, he is a real mess. She knew if she didn't get past her experience that she would never have a life worth living and she wanted that. She was willing to get the help she needed and move on.

Taya also had family and a strong history. She had something to connect to. Nate had nothing but the team and while those relationships are strong, they require that you be mentally and physically fit so he hid his anxiety. Taya had a good chance of overcoming her ordeal; Nate’s odds were pretty low.

Laura i agree with you both on this.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments I agree with both of you also. I think Taya would be able to show her emotion to her family/friends but Nate would have to hold all emotions in around his team.
