It became clear to Ayman and Jaleel that they were expendable if they couldn’t locate and kill Taya. Do you think, if given a viable choice, that either one of them would have abandoned the group?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I think Jaleel would have. I don't think he was a fully committed as Ayman was. Ayman was in it for the ideology and the money. He should have figured out sooner that he was just another sacrifice and he was never going to get any money.

I agree, Anita. Jaleel was already up for bailing when he was killed. If not for Ayman, he wouldn’t have even thought to become involved with The Brethren. Ayman allowed his faith to get all twisted up with his despair regarding his circumstances. He was a lost cause.

Laura I agree Jaleel wasn’t all in and I’m not sure he even realized the extent of the plot.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments Jaleel was definitely up for bailing. I don't think he realized everything that would be involved after getting with The Brethren. I think Ayman was a lost cause too.
