Adding an image to quotes

I've noticed that a number of quotes have had decorative images added some of which include the Goodreads name. Like these:

This seems to be official policy since it has also been done to some Quotes of the Day including this one which generally regarded as misattributed to Eleanor Roosevelt.

None of the quotes I've seen have been illustrated with what I would call 'useful' images which add anything to the quote. An example of what I mean by that would be this one (added by me with full attribution):
