I'm looking for a book a friend described having read as a child:
- The cover had a purple border and 90s styled goofy cartoon of the main characters face
- It's about a group of teens who solve crimes only by pure coincidence
- It was probably published around the 90s/early 2000s or at least that when he read it
- Children's/early teens book
