ABANDONED. YA, Horror, Mystery, Siblings moving in with relatives, Swamp or pond close to the house where child drowned, old man and middle aged woman living in the house

This is a book I read about 9-11 years ago in school. It was about two siblings/kids who went/moved to relatives. It was an old house, with lots of land around it. Somewhere close to the house there was a swamp/pond/marsh where a child had previously drowned. In the house lived an old man and a younger/middle aged woman who might have been related to him and took care of him. At one point the old man mistakes one of the kids (can't remember if it was the boy or girl) for the child who had drowned. The child's spirit/ghost is trying to get the kids closer to the pond, and in one scene the sister goes out in the middle of the night to find her brother knee deep in the water.
If I remember correctly the book had a fairly short title(at least in Swedish) and a dark cover, possibly with a tree and a house on it.
This has been driving me insane for days, and I'd love to find it again!
