Nominations are now open for September 2019!

Amanda Flower, Shelley Shepard Gray, Beverly Lewis, Sarah Price, Ruth Reid, Anna Schmidt, Emma Schwartz and Cindy Woodsmall are exempt from nomination as we've already read one of their books this year, although we may make exceptions for novella collections that include one of these authors. If you're not sure if your book is eligible for nomination, please leave a comment and one of the moderators will get back to you!

Rules:
1. Any Amish-themed novel is eligible.
2. One nomination per person.
3. If two people nominate the same book, each person's vote counts. So the book will feature twice in the list to give each vote an equal chance.
4. Nominations run until the 14th of the month, with the winner announced on the 15th.
5. The winning book is chosen using Random.org to make it completely fair.
6. Please don't nominate a book we have already read. You can see our list of previous group reads here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... or look at the group read's bookshelf here: https://www.goodreads.com/group/books... (it includes the Christian group read as well).
7. Only nominate the first book in a series UNLESS we have already read #1 (see above link). In this case, #2 is then eligible for nomination!

Nominate away!!

#1 - Her Brother's Keeper (Amish Secrets #1) by Beth Wiseman -- Amanda
#2 - Assaulted Pretzel (An Amish Mystery #2) by Laura Bradford -- Natalie
#3 - Too Many Crooks Spoil the Broth (PA Dutch Mystery #1) by Tamar Myers -- Barbara
#4 - Love's Thankful Heart by Laura V. Hilton -- Laura
#5 -

Carolyn, I like your thinking with the seasonal reads but the group read the anthology An Amish Harvest last November. What else can you suggest?

I'm going to pull in an author the group hasn't read yet. It's a nice series with mystery and recipes... Too Many Crooks Spoil the Broth (Pennsylvania Dutch Mystery #1) by Tamar Myers

Laura (lolly-pops) | 94 comments How about Love's Thankful Hearts (published by Celebrate Lit) ? You could read Rachel Good's story or Tom Nye's -- just skip the one by Laura V Hilton (wink) since well, whatever reason you want to. It is a thanksgiving novella. You will love both Rachel and Tom's stories.

Carolyn, please do suggest. It helps the rest of us to see what we might be missing!

Laura -- why would we EVER skip part of a book?! Thanks for the nomination, it wasn't on my TBR pile.

Laura (lolly-pops) | 94 comments So I wouldn;t be nominating a novella I wrote. I didn't know books had to be in a TBR pile. Slinking off.....

No, no, no! I just meant that it wasn't in my personal list to thinks to read - I'd missed it somehow. It should be me slinking off due to my lack of ability to convey what I really meant to say, not you. Please continue to nominate.
