Series name in title field

Hi! I have a somewhat odd question regarding series names in title fields. The correct convention is to add the series in parentheses after the title, right?

I hate to be that person, but I ask because there is one librarian that keeps removing the series name from the title field and I've had to revert their changes multiple times, but they keep reverting my reverts. I've flagged the edits and contacted Goodreads Help several times. Perhaps I should just message them? Or have a super-librarian message them? Please advise. Thank you!

It's optional, but once it's there it shouldn't be removed, as long as it's formatted correctly.

it seems to be a "may be added" but the librarians manual also says shouldn't be deleted if included

Since Support response times are slow, you could try sending a friendly message to the librarian in question, pointing to the relevant section in the manual.
