Part of me is still really reluctant to try to enjoy a romance with mental/emotional abuse at its foundation. But thankfully, it turned around pretty quickly and the MMCs ceased to be bullies. I actually liked how they subtly started challenging her to fight back and before we knew it, they were her biggest supporters. That was well done. (hide spoiler)]

I almost wish there was a follow-up book. I would have liked to have more of Hyde. He was HI-LAR-I-OUS! But.....I'm also relieved that it is a one-off. Wham, bam, thank you ma'am.

I wish their was more of a connection with Wicked Webs and the epilogue was a letdown. She should have been more involved and revealed or something with the powers she has, I know that’s not what she wanted but given what her powers could do and how she’ll use them I think it’d be best for her to take a more active role in the supe world if u ask me 🤷🏼‍♀️ (hide spoiler)]
