My library actually had the book so I'm ready to start!
I just put a hold on the one copy from my library, but it looks like there is someone in line ahead of me so I'm not sure when I'll get it. I haven't read any of Heyer's mysteries, and only a few of her other books years ago. I'm excited to get back into reading some of her books!

Anytime for me; I'm just finishing up another book club read!
I'm not going to see my friend any time soon. I might try TradeMe. I don't want to buy any of her other mysteries, but this one was my favourite!
I'm ready too. Am reading it right now, and so far am loving it. Looking forward to the group read.
how many threads do we want? I was thinking two are enough: one for when you are finished (so with spoilers) and one for just the first half - does this make sense or do you want more the way it was done previously?
I think 2 threads are enough. Her mysteries (other than maybe Penhallow) are not deep books.
One of these days we'll have to do Penhallow, just for the diversity of opinions!

I don't want to start the thread without spoilers because I can't find the book yet. It's in a box somewhere and not on top where I was expecting it. If anyone else wants to start it that's fine, or I'll do it in a day or two when I find the book and start it again.
Sigh.....I'm STILL waiting for this book (Death in the Stocks). I'm now the next one in line for the one copy at the library, so maybe in the next week or two....

I haven't yet read Death in the Stocks. Is it good? I've recently finished re-reading Behold, Here's Poison. It's my favourite, and I LOVE Randall!
I liked it and thought it was worth reading - but I liked Behold, Here's Poison better.and I didn't like it the first time I read it - like the other mysteries.
I just picked up my Death in the Stocks at the library this week, well after everyone else has read and discussed it! Oh well, I brought it to work with me today and hope to start on it at lunch. This will be my first Heyer mystery.
