I currently have three books published - in three different genres and am looking for reviews for each. Tears of a Phoenix is my debut novel.
About Tears of a Phoenix:
Rooted in the gritty details of the protagonist's violent upbringing and his criminal lifestyle, Jed’s own tale depicts his exploration into his Ghanaian cultural and spiritual heritage from a prison cell.
Whilst laying bare the details of contemporary prison life, Jed shares with us the spiritual insight and shamanic experiences that take him outside of the bars.
Reflecting on his childhood, Jed censors nothing of his troubled past as the son of a violent, alcoholic father who enters the world of teenage drug and knife crime. He offers an intriguing insight into the psychology of a violent, criminal mind; he gives us direct access to the world of police interviews, a Crown Court trial and life in a maximum security prison.
Simultaneously, we get to know the man who bravely starts to rebuild his life, accessing the spiritual world of his ancestors to seek the truths that will set him free. Share in his story as he steers away from betrayal and hurt towards a life of responsibility and compassion.
