Aaron (aaronburdette) | 89 comments Hi Linda, you should be able create your review widget here. You'll just need to click "Configure & Add Widget" to get started.

Jo (goodreadscomjohudd) | 3 comments Aaron, I want to put a goodreads widget on my blog/website that when clicked will take them to my goodreads page where my profile is. I want it to be a "follow me on" widget, not to see certain books. Is this possible?

Norm Hamilton (normhamilton) | 153 comments Hi Aaron.

Your link worked well and updated with my ISBN.

I am curious though. When I go to my book and click on "Widget" under Author Tools, it goes to a "Recent Updates" page that isn't mine and says, in a pink back-grounded box, "Sorry, we couldn't find that author."

Scott Skipper | 23 comments I have not been able to figure out the widgets. Could someone please take the time to compose a set of clear and simple instructions?

Marc Mullo | 9 comments Hi, I agree with Scott, a set of clear and simple instructions for author widgets would be preferred, especially when, in most cases, including mine, that process should still be the responsibility of the website developer. Thanks, bye for now.

Aaron (aaronburdette) | 89 comments Jo - to do this, you'll just need to add a Goodreads button to your site that links directly to your profile. You can find these on your widget page here. We don't have a widget that specifically says "Follow Me On Goodreads," but you can use any of the buttons on that page to create a custom widget. Just right-click on the button and copy the image's URL, then use image tags on your blog to paste it. Use these links to learn more about image tags and adding links to a webpage via HTML.

Scott & Marc - that's a great suggestion! We do have some widget topics in the help section here, but we could definitely expand upon these. Unfortunately, since many widget issues arise on a case-by-case basis, these can be hard to hit all at once, so feel free to bring any specific issues to us here or by email at support (at) goodreads (dot) com.

Norm - this sounds like a different issue, which I am going to investigate and get back to you about in a just a bit.

Aaron (aaronburdette) | 89 comments Okay, Norm, I followed up with our engineers, and this does appear to be a bug affecting the widget button on authors' book pages. You can still use your author widget page to generate widgets for each book (yours is located here), but the widget button on the book page itself does not currently work. We're investigating the reason, though, and will let you guys know when we've fixed this!

Bruce Wells (goodreadscomdrbrucewells) | 1 comments I have my giveaway widget. But how do I add it to my facebook page? (Profile HTML does not exist anymore apparently, so that option is out.)

Thanks

Aaron (aaronburdette) | 89 comments Hi Bruce, unfortunately, due to Facebook's HTML limitations you mentioned, there isn't a way to add HTML widgets to Facebook pages. You'll just need to post a link to the giveaway to your timeline. Sorry about that!
