Personality: Alexander is first and foremost, paranoid. And paranoia leads to outright malevolence. Trusting no one, not even his own wife, he holds no hesitation in killing someone if he hears even a whisper of betrayal. His father died when he was 24 years old leaving him, the crown prince, to take the throne, and so has had 10 years of delicious and complete control. He is highly facist, and believes that if you cannot summon the means to survive, you should die. It's not his problem if people starve to death, he does not exist to feed them. If people are stolen from, it's their own fault.
He has a charming side, and it is said that he can lie his way into even the coldest of hearts if it pleases him. He doesn't even need a motive, he just likes to make the most glorious of things and them watch them shatter before his eyes. He is highly possessive of his siblings and likes to exercise a level of control over them, though he is far more lenient with his brothers, though this does not exactly equate to outright love for them. If ever he loved anyone, it was buried deep within.
He is aware that not all of his siblings agree with him, and he knows that one day they will turn. He just hopes they realise that when they do - he will kill them.
History:
They say that Alexander was a beautiful child, and that was probably true. He had the face of an angel and a voice like melted chocolate, and for all the world no one ever would have supposed he would turn out like he did.
As a child, he was clever, articulate, and played the part of a little prince perfectly. They sang his name in the streets, talking of a sweet boy who would one day follow in his father's footsteps and lead their nation in prosperity. The world was like an oyster who thought him their pearl.
But as he began to get older, his ambitions were changing, becoming darker, and those who questioned them began to slowly disappear, and soon, even his own family became confused. When he turned 24, his father passed away, leaving the throne to him. It seemed fairly hopeful until it became apparent that his mother, the Queen Regent, was at odds with him.
His mother was executed for treason shortly after. In front of the nobility of Aureus, and his own siblings, he struck her down with his own sword. Not that the siblings cared much - Alexander the Cunning had already worked his magic on them.
He married, and ruled the kingdom for the next 10 years with an iron fist, slaying all who dared speak against him. He did not raise taxes for greed, but for sadism.
The angel-faced prince had become a monster.

She keeps to herself often, although she finds herself keeping a few friends here and there. Living in Aureus she loves her kingdom, that is, she loves the land she walks on and the air she breathes. She is the 'People's Princess' despite her older brother's tyrannic rule, seemingly caring for the poor, a practiced smile always ready and a golden coin at the ready. She knows she does not have the standing to act the way her brother does, getting what he wants from force, and so resorts to underhanded methods he had taught her earlier in his life. That said, she puts her family above all else. A mother to the younger ones and a role model for her little sisters, she would watch the entire kingdom burn for them. She adores them to the point of obsession, or infatuation. Family is everything. She is against the Resistance, seeing them as trouble causers, and can be very cold and manipulative if she has to be. Many people think that whilst fair in face she is a little odd, and they would be correct in assuming so - the pretty princess of Aureus is a wishy washy force to be reckoned with.

History:
Dubbed Arya the Fair by the people of Aureus, Arya began her early life frolicking in the streets of Aureus. She could back then, for it was a safer place, and her family had no enemies amongst the people. It wasn't until she turned 12 that she really had begin her role as princess, as it was then that Alexander took the throne. She lost both parents in the space of a month, and still thought the world of her dearly beloved brother. He had always treated her as though she were not the child she was, and yet she idolized him completely. She was too young to understand the exact meaning behind her mother's execution, and became close with her handmaidens and sisters in order to compensate. Family became everything to her, and she found herself doing rather extreme things for them. As the oldest of the Princesses, she has an obligation to marry whomever Alexander deems appropriate, and she will consent without question. Her brother's word, in her eyes, is absolute. She has no intentions of going against him so long as he is the man she cares most about. Given the circumstances, Alexander will choose a suitor he believes will support him. Given Arya's public opinion, he would be foolish to make an enemy out of her.

Vincent is a whole-hearted person who loves his family, and would never turn away from a stranger in need. Even when he’s struggled to get by he’s found ways in which he could help others. He’s ultimately a mama’s boy, and he loves her dearly, as well as his young sister. When he loves, though, he gives his entire heart to the person, with absolutely no regrets if they end up breaking it. Despite all the love he has to give he’s not one to forgive and forget so easily. He holds a grudge like no other, and refuses to give into his soft side at times. When joining the kings forces he had to become some sort of killing machine, but he does not deliver death so easily upon the innocent, and is often called weak by his fellow knights when he walks away from a kill.

{History}
Vincent grew up quite averagely in the kingdom, with his widowed mother and younger sister Abigail. Often he could be seen giving away the last of his change to those hanging out upon the streets during market days, or any other day of the week for that matter. At the age of seventeen his mother fell ill and his heart practically shattered into a million pieces. The sickness was quick and swift, taking his mothers life in just a matter of weeks. With the little money they had Vincent did his best to make sure her service was as beautiful as possible, and was delighted by the amount of people that showed up to say goodbye to his dear mother. Soon he and his sister joined their uncle. Unlike their mother he was not a very kind man. In a way they became indentured servants, Vincent working on the farm and his sister doing much more unpleasant things, which he was oblivious to until his sister finally broke down to him one night. When learning of this it took everything inside him not to beat the man to death. Not only had he sold his sisters innocence, but he’d also sold it off to other men. Unwilling to stay in the house a moment longer he ran off to the castle, seeking help from the one man that the land seemed to fear so greatly. Though never personally meeting him he did find job as a knight, and although his sister was working in the kitchen- something he never wished to see, he knew it was better than the life they’d led with their uncle. Only a few years later they received news of their uncles death, and Vincent would be lying if he didn’t say he wasn’t completely elited about it. In respect for his mother and those he knew well he attended the funeral, holding back eye rolls at every compliment that was shared over the man. He had them all fooled. Returning to the palace soon later he continues his work as a knight, but looks ahead to a brighter future for him and his sister. One, perhaps, without the feared king.

Devony loved the world years ago, she loved her father and going out to town, she was friends with many of the commoners and lived life to the full. Always going out she helped her father and mother all the time.
But when the old king died, she was grief stricken. She couldn't believe it. She had no idea there would be so many problems with her brother on the throne. He prevented her and many other nobles from leaving the palace as much. Devony listened to him being only sixteen, she stayed, scared he'd kill her just like he executed there beautiful mother. He'd said of the monstrous things that prowled the streets, men would take her and many other things.
Devony had been building up the courage to leave the castle for ages so she could help the poor, starving people of the city. Her heart straining at what she'd seen. Deciding she'd help, she left the castle more regularly to give money and food. Hoping never to be caught.
