August 2019 ~ Pick-for-Me Challenge

I finished If You Leave and sadly, I didnt like it. I wasnt feeling the characters at all and story dragged. 2**

But it's another off the TBR and it counts for my challenge in another group.

Finished and it gets 4 stars from me. Just getting back from vacation, so I'm trying to get caught up. It was sweet and funny and I really enjoyed the H and h. Didn't knock my socks off, but it was still very good.

I was really hoping that was going to be awesome... The cover just looks so fun and funny. Oh well, 4 stars are still pretty good. I just finished my PFM, - 4 stars. I am learning that books about high school-aged H & h's are just not my cup of tea. All the little petty exploits and getting butt-hurt over everything. Just not me. BUT it was a well-written book and I did like it. On to the next!

Yay! I finished Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake a couple of days ago. Much better timeline than last month's PFM, which I didn't finish until into this month. Or rather, dnf'd. I really enjoyed my pick and gave it 4.25 stars.

This sweet little cover up there...yeah that one...A Thousand Boy Kisses...the sweet little YA book...flat out ripped out my heart and shredded it into a million trillion pieces not just once but over and over. And yet...I gave the damn book 5 stars....what is wrong with me?

Update on Kulti! I’m loving it but it’s long, as is Mariana Zapata’s way, and life is busy...too busy! I’m definitely not finishing it before September 1st but I’m absolutely enjoying it!

Gah!! I didn't want to say anything until you were done, but this is my all-time favorite Zapata book. I read it and the very next day listened to nearly the whole thing on audio. Best audio, too.
