Hi Anto (hope it's OK if I abbreviate your name)
I'm no one official, but I think it would be fine for you to remove Man from the award name & in the award description say that it was the Man Booker from .... till.... but is now the Booker. The website is still at the same place but has changed it's name as well.

May just do that, but will leave the thread here for another day or two to see if there are any other responses. It is a quick change to make at any rate.

Not sure I should do it myself. At least with the Booker it's just deleting a word, not moving anything that undoes or potentially creates a lot of work for someone else.
All books listed for the prize before Man was the sponsor are also under Man Booker prize. I am assuming this is not official policy and also something that was done years ago.
Though I think it is good to have it all in one place for ease of reference for users (which I think needs to be given greater precedence in the ways awards are done on GR. Dividing them up makes it much less easy to find info as compared with Wikipedia. Goodreads should be a useful reference tool that doesn't force users to go off site because of eccentric presentations of data. Is there a manual discussion on this I can post in?)
In any case what is being done with the name change this time?
