Same! I'm at 48% and I am so freaking confused.

(view spoiler)[The hidden speaker thing makes me think that it could be like a Trueman Show style conspiracy? But that seems too easy and doesn't explain the road outside of town circling back. My best guess right now is that Wayward Pines exists in a different dimension or something from the normal world, hence the weird disconnect and time travel. (hide spoiler)]

Can't wait to finally find out what's going on because I still have no freaking clue. Like I have ideas what would fit certain parts of the mystery, but altogether it's just too much weirdness and I've got nothing. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Oooooook I guess it all makes sense now. Mostly. Still don't get why anyone would think it's a good idea to create a culture where people will hack each other to pieces without question, sounds like a bad idea to me.

Pilcher is an interesting character, since you really can understand why he thinks what he's done is so noble. I can't quite tell what we're supposed to think of him though. I would easily consider him a villain but I wonder if other readers with a different world view than me would think differently.

I didn't particularly like Ethan, his situation was horrifying but what can I say? I find it hard to sympathise with his desperation to reunite with his family when he's a Cheater McCheaterson 😒 (hide spoiler)]
