(view spoiler)[Wow I have like zero memory of this book and next to zero memory of the movie. I don't think most of that conversation between Dumbledore/Hagrid/McGonagall at the start was in the movie though? It was cute!

I like that we get more insight into the Dursleys too, makes them even more hateable D: (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Oooh I remember really loving the Diagon Alley scenes in the movie, and I feel like they were adapted really well! This is a great introduction to the Wizarding World.

The pacing feels slower than the movie so far but I don't mind it. (hide spoiler)]

It's interesting how in the book he sees his whole family but in the movie it's just his parents iirc? I wonder why they made that change, I think that seeing his whole family would have been better.

I really love how after the troll incident the three of them come to respect each other, Hermione realising that Ron and Harry are brave and capable even if they're not as smart, and them realising that she's not selfish and does care for others even if it's not obvious at first. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[That section with the enchantments was very different from the movie, a lot less action. I actually kinda prefer the movie in this regard, I get that the three of them had the exact right skills and traits to pass the enchantments, but it felt just a tad too easy here.

This was really fun to reread (though it didn't really feel like a reread since I'd completely forgotten it) and I'm looking forward to continuing when I can find time :D (hide spoiler)]

Yeah I felt a little the same way, I really enjoyed it overall but parts of the book definitely felt a bit too juvenile for my liking. I mean it makes sense since it's for a younger audience, but still.

Yes, i'm FINALLY continuing this, after almost a month of starting it. smh.
Anyways, I am just really loving it so far. (view spoiler)[ Ron and Harry already getting into so much trouble and it has not even been 3 months yet. haha XD. I think quidditch is so fun and after reading about how snape might have cursed Harry's broomstick i'm dying to know more about him.
Harry is always up to things he shouldn't be doing, and now he is just straining over what Fluffy is guarding. Which makes me want to know more too, even though I already know :D. (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

So I just finished the part when Harry and his friends find out that Quirrell could some dark magic which could lead to Snape finding the Sorcerer's Stone. :& . At least Harry won the Quidditch game for Gryffindor. I'm excited to see where things go. (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]
