Audible app for Android

My app has been misbehaving for the last week or so. Sometimes downloaded audio books refuse to play and, at times, when I switch speed, it doesn’t seem to change. I did delete and reload the app. Does anyone else have this problem? It’s very noticeable because I’m listening to three audio books and using a different speed for the book we are listening to in the car. I have a Samsung 8 phone with plenty of available storage space.

I have had that problem but reinstalling it solved the problem.
