All I remembered about the whole series is that it's about three brothers finding love in there hometown somewhere in the south while trying to find their dad. The last book is the one I remember best. I know that I read the whole trilogy in 2013 sometime in the summer and that it was pretty modern.

This son was adopted into the family, his biological father being not the best for him. He joined the Coast Guard and came back after the father went missing. When he comes back he starts to fall for a woman who is older than him. The woman is divorced and has a son from that marriage who likes astronomy (I believe). There is a scene where she finds his bio dad and yells him out (it might have gotten physical too, cannot remember). The book ends with the father being found and the father marrying a woman.
