hey mods, we were wondering over in the 'does this book work' thread - can we read shorter children's books or graphic novels from the 'i only saw the movie' list? i thought yet because we could last time we had a list to choose from, but someone else thought no because you didn't specifically mention it like you did last time.

Looks like an extra column was added in your round 3 s/sheet (column B). I don't want to delete it as maybe one of your team added it for a reason. So I've updated the current points s/sheet formula instead

Hello, I noticed an error in Team Lava No More's spreadsheet.

In SZ3, for some reason a Y in the spell it out is only giving 40 points instead of the 50 points it should be. I checked and the formula looks fine so I'm not sure why it's not calculating correctly. It's Line 47 in the spreadsheet for whichever mod takes a look at it.

The echidnas on our floor are currently only babies (puggles) and pretty slow moving.
Because they are so cute, and it is our last round, every team to complete their countdown tasks this round prior to the countdown reaching 0 will receive a bonus 200 points. (These bonus points will be shown on the current points spreadsheet)

Maybe I missed a countdown somewhere, but I'm showing 11+ hours until Round 4 starts, but our Round 3 spreadsheet is locked. Is there a break in between that I don't remember from previous rounds? (I am cutting my finishing time close....)

I've fixed it on our (Molten Magma Mambas) spreadsheet, but just in case this causes problems for any other team, I wanted to state that the formula for the "All Countdown Tasks read?" cell was referencing the wrong totals cell, and was incorrectly stating NO on our sheet. For Round 3.

Our Round 4 was wrong, as well. The formula is referencing cell J10, when it should be I10.

Ok, I've worked it out. It will take time to update the s/sheets though. So if anyone has the same issue, it is ok to override the cell and enter 50

Seeking some clarification about regenerating since there was some confusion between members on our team...

So, we received a 50-point injury in SZ3 of Round 2 for misusing a book. There was some collateral damage because that book no longer counted, so we lost the whole word. Are we still only allowed to regenerate just the injury amount (50 points), or can we regenerate points to cover the collateral damage as well?

Also... the spreadsheet for round 4 is only showing damage sustained in rounds 3&4... are we not allowed to regenerate injuries from round 2? We didn’t know we had any till round 3 had already started so didn’t think we had a chance to do it till round 4.

Just the injury points, not the "collateral damage".
We set up the spreadsheets for Damage for R3&4, but it is the first time we are running this challenge so.... I'm ok for you to regenerate from damage in rounds 1 & 2 also. Just remember that the points cap still applies
From the rules: (You can regenerate either all the points you have lost in injuries OR up to a cap of 175 regeneration points, whichever is the lower. (i.e. if you have lost 180 points, you can only regenerate 175; if you lost 80 points, you can only claim 80 regeneration points)

I'm not really understanding your question. Do you mean you started it before the round began? (Remember, that timezones are all over the shop so it is hard to know what you mean by yesterday) :)

MODs I’m sorry. I meant I started the book the day before round 4 began but finished it the day round 4 started. I had begun the book for another challenge and then when I finished it and saw what we needed to do for the regeneration I wondered if I could use it for regeneration. We lost points in round three and we are making them up in around four. So since I started the book on the last night in round three and finished it on the first day of round four I wanted to know if I could use it as my first regeneration book or if the book I am reading for regeneration had to be started the day round four started or later. I hope that is more clear.

Team Blazing Bookworms lost a player during round 2 and haven't been able to replace her. We have a second member who has not checked in for Round 4. Our 3rd member is in college and is struggling to finish a book a week. However, the stars have aligned and our 4th member has been able to find a book for each task and is striving to read all the tasks.

I think I added an extra sheet to Mauna luas sheets. I think im the one thst added one to ours earlier too. I do everything on my phone and its way too easy to add a sheet, but i dont know the program at all and i was afraid id mess things up more if i tried to delete it

sorry notifications seem to be playing up. As per the rules,
Books for each round need to be started AFTER the round begins
So if you started the book before round 4 started, you can't use it for round 4

Yes, but you would just receive one injury if all players didn't read one book for it

Since the spreadsheets were set up for 3&4, our regeneration points aren't showing up correctly... (since our damage is round 2, the 3&4 spot shows 0, so regen points shows 0 too)

This was asked last round, when the countdown stage was longer than in previous rounds. The rounds are all the same length, but the countdown is random. It doesn't affect the time left in the round.
