In 2016, this book was supposed to have been published through an independent publisher. I was very young at the time, so didn't realize what I was getting into. Turned out to be a huge scam. People paid for and ordered the book, but never received their copy from the company. I was never paid for my work, and it was an intense battle to have the rights reverted back to me. I do own the rights to the book now. The publisher is no longer in business (thankfully), and I just really have no desire to be associated with them in any way at all as the whole "publishing" was essentially a giant scandal and nothing ever came of it except a lot of heartache.
One day I'd like to republish the book myself, which is why it'd be nice to have it removed now. A clean slate, if you will. I would happily surrender my Goodreads Author status.
If that's not possible, is there any way to edit the book so it doesn't mention the publisher at all? Since I own the rights to the book? It was just a huge mess and I've been cleaning it up for about three years now.
