Luke (korrick) | 2004 comments The Ten Thousand Things, Maria Dermoût, translated from Dutch by Hans Koning, 1955, Indonesia, NOVEL

"...A tiny jellyfish with its venom sting, a luscious island with its haunted grounds, a day of murdered and murderers bound by whatever attractive light led them on to their dooms. No matter the means or misconceptions, there is the end of an existence, and those who continue on....."

Thanks for your review, Dioni. Did you by any chance find the group through the little section at the very bottom of this book's page that lists the discussion topics that are focused on it? I always hold out hope that interested folks find their way here through them.

That's exactly it Aubrey.

I was wondering at the beginning about your method of making a discussion thread per book, but soon saw how it could work, especially for the more obscure books. Thanks for all your work!

Luke (korrick) | 2004 comments My pleasure, Dioni. It certainly seems to be bearing fruit :)
