The Double Bind - Chris Bohjalian, 3.5 Stars rounded to 4

I wasn't expecting this book to end the way it did. It starts as a perfectly serviceable contemporary fiction, and gradually builds into a suspenseful novel with quite an interesting twist at the end. And while I did guess the twist before the final reveal, it wasn't by much. Another book by Chris Bohjalian that I thoroughly enjoyed that as always has me looking forward to reading more by him.

This may just have been my favorite of his. He’s either exceptional in my book, or there are a few of his iPhone really not resonated with at all! He could be really hit or miss. But when he hits, he hits it on the mark!
