ABANDONED. YA book I read 16+ years ago about a girl who is hired to go on trip a the mother & child to babysit. Spoilers ahead.

I read this book when I was a young teenager (16+ years) & loved it but cannot remember the name or author!
The mother of the child locks her bedroom door when she leaves so that the babysitter can’t go in. The phone in the room rings & rings often...The babysitter is followed by a guy who turns out to be a cop or detective...babysitter almost dies in the house due to gas leak...in the end you find out the mother of the child is not the mother after all & kidnapped the child.
