ABANDONED. Modern day Robin Hood

Back in primary school I read a book where a young girl was compared to the legendary Robin Hood. She stole money from her (father?) but told him when her best friend's brother is blamed for it.
(They also steal a credit card from an old lady- to remember her pin she had written down a code, for example stool was 3, because a stool has three legs.)



Pretty sure it was written by an English author in either the late 90's or early 00's. Any ideas?

The money was for the poor, like Robin Hood did
Cover, I believe was a girl standing in front of a forest
The setting was Nottinghamshire
And it was the only one (no series)
