Angela (angelarenea) | 1 comments With the closing of fictfact there is a large void in tracking books in a series. This is a great opportunity for goodreads to offer this feature!
I use an android app for tracking tv shows watched (https://play.google.com/store/apps/de...) that links into the TV/Movie tracking site Trakt, and this would be a fantastic guide for a book tracking service.
A list of series that you have started with how many books are left and which one is next that you can sort by release date (https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/ybg...)

This would be an AMAZING goodreads feature but also a wonderful app
Thanks

Michael | 1 comments I think this would be a great feature and it looks like it is partially done?

If I find a series manually for example: https://www.goodreads.com/series/4264... it shows me which books I have read, the order and which ones I am missing.

Ideally there would be a way for my flag a series as "watching" or something and I could be notified if a new book is added to the series and my watched series could have a menu option on the Home page showing the series status, something like 16/17 completed.

Rick (headrollsoff) | 7 comments I built a web app that does this. It is a work in progress. But feel free to check it out at https://www.seriestbr.com

Shane Phillips | 25 comments Rick- your web Ann is amazing! However it needs to read all the users EXCLUSIVE shelves. For series I am in progress reading, I put on their own individual exclusive shelf. I have a shelf for Harry Bosch books and your web app is missing them since they not in to-read shelf. If a new Harry Bosch book comes out your app won’t help me since it will just show with 30 other books it thinks I don’t have but actually do.

I know I am probably unique user but adding more exclusive shelves is a feature of goodreads. You might need to consider supporting it.

Shane, this is an upcoming feature that I will be rolling out. You are not the first person to bring this up. Some users split their read books into different exclusive shelves for each year, etc. It was not a scenario I thought about when I first made the program.

The problem is that I do not know what the exclusive user shelves are designated for. That is up to the user. So I am going to implement a feature that lets users designate their custom exclusive shelves to "read", "want to read", "currently reading", "did not finish", or "ignore". Work has been busy, so I haven't had time to get it in place. I hope to have it there in the next week.

ReadingOwlThree | 1 comments I really wish this was an included feature in the goodreads platform. Are there any updates on this? Seems the last message was almost a year ago.
