This book was published in 1910. I downloaded it from Project Gutenberg. Tom is visiting a friend at a country home in Maryland. It is a house party at the home of his friend's cousin. One the way to the party he meets a lovely young woman, who is staying at the nearby White Cottage. She just wants to have fun, it seems. Even though she is much younger than Tom, he is enthralled. Somehow, after a 3-day acquaintance and a night battling an Atlantic squall in a sloop, they end up married. Amazingly, they don't even know each other's real names. Oh, those racy Victorians!
