ABANDONED. sci Fi alien abducted feisty woman with suitcase of stuff

Guys you helped me locate a book I was looking for last time. If you can help this time I would be thankful. This book was a sci fi with I think a black woman with a puffy coat and a suitcase or a bag full of her stuff. She is very feisty. She decides to take I think 4 alien mates. If I remember correctly she ends up freeing the ship. I bet I have combined more than one book since I read it a while back. Any help would be great. Thanks

Okay lets see if I remember anything else... I think the woman is very snarky with the aliens. I think they were kinda afraid of her. I think that she was in the control center of the place where they are being held and gets some sort of weapon and destroys a lot of stuff which allows them to get set free? Any help would be wonderful.
