Total number of titles read in June for "Retellings"

In June, we read 77 individual titles for "Retellings".

Wide Sargasso Sea was there as a duplicate, Cindy. I think I removed it, so the total is now 77. :)

Cindy, I whenever I check this list I notice that the books I read are the only one's showing the rating stars....what am I do wrong? In fact this month it says Nicole added my book, and it still is showing the rating I gave it???

Edit: I just checked again, and I noticed a few, not many, other books with ratings-but most do not have them-so my question still stands-why?

Joanne, it is a list of the books the group read, and also shows which of those books you yourself have read and rated, under the column heading "my ratings". When I click on the link, it shows my ratings.

Ok that makes sense-I should have figured that out-I just wanted to make sure that when I add my own book I am not doing something wrong and making more work for you. Thanks for all your hard work keeping this group going and informed-I love it here and am so glad I found this happy place!

On a group shelf, it will only show the star ratings for the ones you've read. Even if you didn't read it for the tag, if anyone read it for any tag or challenge and it got added to the group shelf, when you look at the group shelf, it shows you your own ratings on those that you've read.

That's how it works. (It took me a while to figure that out myself!!)

Agh! If GR brings up multiple editions and I don't see that a different edition was already added... Or, occasionally, it doesn't even bring up an edition that was already added. Sigh...

Anyway, thank you so much for checking and noticing that. (And thank you for letting me know and posting it here, so that I can also update the stats on the thread where we keep track of past tags.)

(As a librarian - and cataloguer! - I really really wish more places had a browse search feature. For some things that wouldn't work, but for titles!!!! Ugh! Sadly, many library catalogues no longer have this. Boooooooo....)

Bound by Napoli shows up twice - once on page 1 near bottom and again page 2 at bottom.

Thanks for catching that! I'll take a look and fix that up.

It seems that GR brings up different editions to the top, depending who is doing the searching, so I sometimes miss that something has already been added!

Fixed! Now that changes our total number in June to 76. Thanks, again!
