I haven't seen this before & I'm wondering placing an award logo is allowed.

I would be voting no, but want other opions before removing.

Elizabeth (Alaska) I saw that one before. I didn't see a problem with it. (As you have quickly realized, I'm not doing much these days. Just random edits when I see something, so definitely take my opinion with a grain of salt.)

:) It seems a bit promotional to me, but we'll see what rivka thinks.

lethe | 16359 comments I would say it is not allowed. We are not here to promote these awards.

Elizabeth (Alaska) I don't know whether it would be allowed or not, but there is no promotion involved. It doesn't appear on the book page. You have to intentionally already be interested in the award to go to that page.

Elizabeth (Alaska) And I have to proffer I do not understand the objection. That is the description section of the award. For my thinking, they *all* should have some logo.

There are some awards that do not allow the usage of their logo anywhere other than places they have approved. Unless that is the case here (I am not seeing any evidence that it is), I don't see a problem.

Ok Im worried that if librarians see it in one place they think it is ok to put in the description, but I'll leave it alone.

Thanks, rivka
