ISBN consistency problems

I've been running some automated consistency checks on the ISBNs of the books on my shelves, which picked up a number of issues.

Unrecognised ISBN13 prefix 000 in (0005860256932) for GoodreadsId 3388184 : The Corridors of Time by Anderson, Poul
The physical book predates ISBNs, but the Panther catalog number is shown as 586 02569 3, which would correspond to an ISBN10 of 0586025693 and an ISBN13 of 978-0-586-02569-7

Malformed ISBN10 (586010807) for GoodreadsId 9401317 : Foundation by Asimov, Isaac
Similar to the above. The ISBN10 would be 0586010807 and the ISBN13 978-0-586-01080-8

Inconsistent ISBN10 (0867609184) and ISBN13 (9780745913094) for GoodreadsId 955349 : Taliesin by Lawhead, Stephen R
Here the ISBN13 on the physical book is correct, but the ISBN10 is for the matching Kindle edition. The ISBN10 should be 0-7459-1309-1

Inconsistent ISBN10 (0575116722) and ISBN13 (9781407234731) for GoodreadsId 12383015 : The Lies Of Locke Lamora by Lynch, Scott
Again the ISBN13 on the physical book is correct, though it's a Paperback, not a Hardcover, and again the ISBN10 is for the matching Kindle edition. The ISBN10 should be 1-4072-3473-0

Malformed ISBN10 (#M137) for GoodreadsId 5886892 : The Best from Fantasy and Science Fiction: 11th Series by Mills, Robert P
I presume that it's the publisher's catalog number. It's not an ISBN, so should be put somewhere in the description, perhaps, to prevent it being lost

Inconsistent ISBN10 (0439968437) and ISBN13 (9780676786637) for GoodreadsId 208320 : His Dark Materials Complete Trilogy by Pullman, Philip
This may be a casualty of the Amazon merge, as the same mismatch exists on Amazon.

My physical book is ISBN13 9780439968430 which corresponds to ISBN10 0439968437 and is a single volume compilation of the 3 books, very similar to goodreads id 24381, except that Scholastic appear to have created a re-branded edition under the imprint "Ted Smart", which is used by The Book People Ltd. which is a major UK online bookseller. The cover is the same, but the page count is 1016 or 1018, depending on whether you include the acknowledgements. Publication date is unclear from the title page, but the Scholastic edition is 2001.

The ISBN13 9780676786637 (and its matching ISBN10 0676786634) does appear to correspond to a 3-book Hardcover set, and is advertised as such on websites such as abebooks.

Malformed ISBN10 (140009930) for GoodreadsId 8061411 : The Day of the Triffids by Wyndham, John
Similar to the first two issues above. The ISBN10 would be 0140009930 and the ISBN13 978-0-14-000993-4

1) Looks like you are right, not sure the best thing to do for it though, remove it since the book did not have one, or fix it to the information you mentiond.

2) Removed the malformed ISN, since this ISBN was previously used, and marked this edition as an ACE.

3) Actually according to worldcat that ISBN10 is valid for a physical copy of that book, just not with that ISBN13, and vice versa. Not sure which should be kept with the book. (On a side note amzon UK shows those ISB10 and ISBN13 in the same book listing)

4) The ISBN10 is for the Hardback edition, so I fixed the ISBN13 to match the Hardcover. The ISBN13, I could not verify anywhere, so if you need an edtion with the ISBN13 associated with a paperback, you can either create the new edition or put a request in for us to create it.

5) Removed the invalid ISBN

6) Fixed. When I just checked the ISBN13 on Amazon.com was the right one and not the one listed on GR, but the 13 did come from the ingram import.

7)#6 covers most of it, but I did add the page count of 1018. Did not change the cover image. If you can provide a link to the appropriate image or a scan/picture of the cover that can be fixed.

8) Created the new edition with those ISBNs here His Dark Materials Complete Trilogy

9)Removed the ISBN and set it as an ACE, since the ISBN was already being used by another edition of the book.

3) (my Amazon info came from amazon.co.uk rather than amazon.com) FWIW the ISBN13 9780745913094 matches the physical book published by Lion and with 512 pages. The ISBN10 is also shown both on the cover and the copyright page as 0-7459-1309-1. The copyright page states "First UK edition 1988"
