Ancient Philosophy | 2 comments I have written a book, A research of Shiva: The Enigma, based on original translations done by me, of the ancient literature such as sthotrams, mantras, upanishads, ashtakams and tantras..

The book is the result of me trying to understand what Shiva and related terms such as Lingam, Rundra and so on could actually have meant. Translating the ancient literatures based on a word-to-word transliteration and using contextual words rather than standard translations and reading the meaning of the translations, promote me to believe that Shiva cannot be classified simply as a God.

For e.g., a sample translation using the above method for the mrthyumjaya mantra gives: OM has pervaded all the three worlds, embracing which has caused abundant growth of comfort, the result of which is attachment and thus has the perishable overshadowed the imperishable.
An in-depth description of my translations are present at my blog, https://ancientinsight.online.

This book is the conclusions I have made based on these translations. The conclusions indicate more towards a scientific concept that is very core to the formation of reality around us.
