SOLVED. Multigenerational book Series set in America during the 20th century. [s]

So each book I believe followed a single family starting in 1900 and I believe each following book was set a decade later. I was younger and I believe it was part of a romance series. I remember that one son became a pilot during WWI and his nephew was a pilot during WWII. I believe it followed the family and their descendants up until 1960 or 1970. I’ve looked at all the popular multigenerational books and none of them I’ve find are this series. I believe I was at book 6 or 7 when I stopped reading them. Would love to revisit this family if anyone has any ideas.

I read it in the late 80s early 90s and I believe it was partly set in St.Louis (not 100% sure).

After searching all day I found what I was looking for. Not sure how to change it to solved. The series I was looking for was the American Chronicles by Robert Vaughan.
